Just a quick post today to share this yummy high protein bar which I’ve been enjoying as either a meal or snack. I consider it a real treat and it’s great to put one in my car or pocketbook to have handy should I get hungry while out and about.
It is pretty dense so when I’m home I put it on parchment paper and pop in the microwave for 30 seconds (as shown below). Then I cut into smaller pieces and enjoy. Very chewy and satisfying. It is high in protein (20g) and fiber (15g) and ends up being only net 4 carbs. It even has 15% calcium which, of course, is great for us as well.
You can buy them individually at Walmart and many other stores – usually $2.50 and above for one. I like them so much that I now buy them by the box and the cheapest price I’ve found was on Amazon for $22.47 for 12 bars. I keep them in my refrigerator though you don’t have to. To me they are like having chewy Girl Scout chocolate mint cookies 🙂 and they’re filling too.
It even qualified for one day delivery.
There are lots of other flavors of Quest bars. I’ve tried several and enjoyed most of them but this one I especially enjoy.
