Last night I went onto my new Pinterest page and added a bunch of ‘pins’ for some of my favorite recipes that I have tried. Today I realized that, for the most part, I can just point you over to there, especially since it’s so easy to add pins there and let everyone know automatically that way (if you ‘follow us’ on Pinterest).
But just in case you don’t have a Pinterest account, I’m going to paste links below for some of them, along with my thoughts on how it turned out.
I think that all the pins that I added so far were from the www.bariatriceating.com website. They have an impressive amount of recipes and with the exception of their chicken crust pizza I really liked all the ones I tried so far.
Cheeseburger Pie – Definitely one of my favorites and one that my husband enjoys too.
Chicken Taco Pie – This is another variation of the Cheeseburger Pie. It was very good and I would make it again, but I tend to make the cheeseburger pie more often.
Mexican Taco Soup – This was the first recipe I tried from this site and it really is delicious. As with an of these I think there are lots of variations you can make to tailor to your tastes – try different vegetables, etc.
Inspire ‘Back on Track’ Brownie – Inspire is this site’s brand of protein powder that they sell. I can vouch that it is very good and I’ve tried several flavors. What I like about this recipe is that it’s a really good way to get your protein in when you’re sick and tired of drinking shakes. I’ve also made it with different flavor protein powders since to me it’s really more ‘cake like’ then a brownie. I can’t say I’ve tried with other brands of protein since right now Inspire is mostly what I have at home – but I expect that as long as you use another brand that is whey isolate that it will probably work the same. If you do try it with another brand then please add a comment to this post to let us know how it turns out.
Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers – If you don’t already have an air fryer, and/or I haven’t convinced you to get one after you read my post titled ‘How I became an Air Fryer Addict’… then this is another good reason to buy one 🙂 What I love about this recipe is that the meat is so tender inside – and there’s no added starch like typical recipes have so it’s very low carb. I’ve made this a few times already, once for some company, and they enjoyed it also.
Chicken Crust Pizza – This is really the only recipe that I’ve made from this site that I did not care for at all. But others rave about it so much that even though it’s not really one of ‘my favorites’, if it sounds good to you give it a try. I did make a different low-carb pizza where the crust was made from mozzarella cheese and I liked that one so I’ll have to hunt down the recipe to add here.
Additional recipes can be found directly on the Pinterest site so head over there for any future updates.
p.s. Please be sure to add comments on any of your own favorites or post questions if you have any for myself or the group.
